it’s hard to play a classic match when the opposing team parks the bus. few teams (with the exception of germany and brazil) go toe to toe with spain. if the other team doesn’t come out to play, of course it’ll be a boring match.

Spain had one day rest less than Portugal, and we played, even extra time, and nobody says that, they only talk about Italy playing with one day less to rest, that’s the way it is, for everybody, that it’s not excuse at all!

I think you spent too much time talking about the loser, instead of concentrating in what made Spain win. I am from Barcelona, I love football, I always have, and to get to a final and win it as we did, takes more than just 90 minutes, much more. So, if I were you, I’d try to be a bit more documented and objective (cause it’s obvious you prefer Italy…), talk a bit later, vacalize and grow up! Spain played as a team, and football it’s a game of 11 people, and they all were brilliant!

Italy destroyed Germany and should have beaten England before the Extra time. The team did well in the tournament considering the stage they did were at 2010, and they were unlucky to have the injuries with motta and chiellini..

Regarding Serie A, it was a wreck after 2006 because of a false scandal that ruined everyone but Inter. Its coming back, though. Napoli managed to get out of the Group of Death w/ champions-elect Man City and Milan hammered Arsenal 4-0, both in the Champions League. Likewise Italy have worked miracles in the Euros playing with Juventus’ style.
Serie A is coming back. It’s been a while, but its coming back.

Italy were a wreck coming into the final. They were dragged to ET by England & then had 2 days less rest against the Germans. They worked very hard in both games & thus had another less day to prepare for the final. I’m not saying Italy would have won but they were disadvantage throughout the tournament the way it unfolded.
In the 1st group game both teams were 100% and Italy should have won. They had no chance come the final w/ lack of rest/injuries. They did themselves proud though.
